You Are Welcome to all - WORKSHOPS
WorkshopFor animals who could use the benefits of socialization and learning in a group, workshops can't be beat. Workshops run in length for 1 or 2 days and the support and interaction of the participants, both human and four-legged cannot be matched.

The TTouch philosophy, foundation and techniques are all covered with constant participation and practice on your own animal. This is where you get to see transformation before your eyes, whether it is for just one day or for two. Many people are convinced they are taking home a different animal than the one they brought to the class. Great connections are also made with the participants as people support each other while making changes in how they perceive their animals and how to work with these wonderful beings. The workshop experience demonstrates the gentle, cooperative foundation of TTouch at its best.

The workshop environment is a small, intimate gathering where participants bring their companion animals. As a group, we work through the various concerns of each person using the TTouch techniques and concepts.

Typical concerns that the Tellington TTouch workshop can address include:

Fears and insecurities Problem behavior
Timidity
Fear of the vet
Fear of thunder and lighting
Aggression
Pulling on the leash
Excessive barking
Urinating or defecating indoors
Performance Health

Gait improvement
Fear of judges
Focus

Arthritis and aging
Stress
Nervous conditions

One-Day Workshop

The day begins typically at 9am with introductions of all participants and all companion animals attending, along with the expectations of each attendee. Each workshop is unique in how it unfolds and the order in which the material is presented. The class is always open to discussion and questions as we work through the material and see the practical applications before us.

All of the major circular ttouches, lifts and strokes are covered and applied to the different situations represented by the attending animals. Students will get to experience the touches first hand and work in pairs to get feedback as they develop their skill. While learning the basic techniques the more subtle aspects such as awareness, breath and focus are discussed and explored. Much time is spent applying specific touches to the animals and observing their responses.

Tools and Aids
Tellington TTouch makes use of various aids such as “wraps” for the body, legs and face, the “wand” and the “canine halter”. Understanding how and why they are used will give students tools to incorporate into their daily routine or training session.

The Confidence Course and Playground for Higher Learning
Our animals learn faster when we make learning fun. The touches, tools and aids are brought together and applied while the animals are taken over obstacles like the “dog walk”, the “labyrinth”, the “see saw” , the “star” and more.

The day ends usually around 5pm and always closes with a period of sharing the observations of how the animals responded, what concepts or tools were most impressive and useful and if expectations were met. The atmosphere of respect and love for the animals and an awakening of new ways to honor and share our lives with our wonderful animal friends is the great reward of the workshop.
