When a private session in your home is not possible due to distance or time constraints, the phone consultation may better meet your needs.

TTouch is an activity that you perform with your animal with my guidance so this can also be done over the phone. Diagrams and literature are provided for you to follow as I guide you through the touches, strokes and exercises.

Consultations are in half hour increments with a maximum of 1 hour for a session at a given time. We talk about your expectations and set goals with a few tasks for each session. Diagrams or pictures of the particular TTouches or exercises are sent to you by fax, mail or e-mail to guide you. At our next session, we discuss the results and any questions that have come up. Believe me, you will have questions and much excitement about the progress.

Three sessions are recommended to allow you to feel a level of proficiency doing the touches and for your animal companion to reflect the benefits of the TTouch. Results are often in just a day or two.

Here’s how it works.

It's this simple. You place a call to TTouch & TLC to discuss the condition, issue or circumstances around your animal. I ask you a few questions, such as when the behavior started, a description of the home environment, number of other animals at home and what recent changes may have occurred in the household. When I have determined what course of action we will take, we set up an appointment; we are ready to begin.

This part is even easier. There is nothing to prepare. You might want to have paper and pen handy to take some notes since you may be hearing a lot of new ideas.

You'll be telling me about your animal and what you would like to see in the way of change. As I listen, I'll be giving you tips on how to handle situations and the different TTouches that might apply for the particular condition or behavior. I'll be sending you the descriptions and pictures of the TTouches we discuss so you have some reference material to follow. At the end, we'll review what we have discussed to be sure that you are clear on what your "homework" will be with your animal before the next session. I will be keeping a log of our conversations so that I can help you track the progress you and your animal are making. It's lots of fun and you will be pleasantly surprised at what great results you get with such simple techniques.

5/23 Bucky(or Buck) is a 6yr old male. Once a hunting dog, he now is a house dog. Bucky started peeing in the house although he can go to a back yard (1/2 acre) anytime he wants. The back door is left open for him, otherwise he barks. We discussed how to do the circles; clouded leopard, lying leopard, and abalone. When catching him about to pee, I advised to take him outside and show him where it is acceptable to relieve himself. I let his owner know it is very important to praise him with the TTouches when he is outside and does pee. Regarding his barking, I suggested Trish teach Bucky to bark on command and be "quiet" on command. We discussed having him sit at the door on command, being rewarded for keeping his feet on the ground rather than jumping. I sent her the TTouch cards on a few touches to start and we will talk after she has received them.

6/11 Trish reported that Bucky seems more relaxed when she gets home from work. When she does the TTouches he turns around and looks at her. Good, he’s curious. He is not peeing in the house and let’s them know when he wants to go out or goes out on his own.

6/25 We talked more about the use of the TTouch obstacles. Connecting Bucky’s peeing with his need for a "job" gave Trish some understanding and direction for helping with this problem while the touches made the connection with him on both a physical and mental level.

Trish wrote:
“This improved connection results from a sense of control I have over Buck’s behavior. With loving yet firm techniques, I can achieve amazing changes in Buck’s behavior. For example, after two days of teaching him to stay down, he stopped jumping up on people. His progress is really a matter of how much time that I invest in training him. I find that I want to spend the time because he responds so positively and he is enjoying the sessions. Thank you so much for teaching me the TTouch techniques.” Very truly yours, Trish
